Chapter Table At Amherst Show

Our tables were located in the Better Living Center building close by one of the busy entrances. We met a lot of our 3713 supporters as well as friends from New England that have helped us greatly with the restoration. Ed and I were busy both days discussing the 3713 Project with many people. All were happy to learn that the Project is "back on track" to completion.

Many expressed their understanding as to the many delays but also said they are happy that we have stuck with the goal of putting the locomotive back into working condition and not taking short cuts to expedite the process. It was also express that they hope it will be possible to operate a trip from Steamtown to New England and back sometime after the locomotive is back in service.

Our goal at the show was exposure and we did meet that goal.

Two day attendance at show was 23,687
The show was contained in four separate buildings and had hundreds of vendors. There were 8 acres of operating model train layouts.
