2019 Calendar Available Now

The Lackawanna and Wyoming Valley Rail Historical Society 2019 calendar is available now. As you have come to expect over the years, the calendar featurers photographs of local rail lines. The photos are from the collections of members of the chapters. Everything from steam, traction and interurban, diesels and local landmarks have been in past calenders as well as some current photos.

COVER: Six ALCO's - M-630 No. 3000, M-636 No. 3642, C-636 No. 3643, C-420 No. 414, C-425 No.2461, and Morristown and Erie C-424 No. 19 with a Delaware Lackawanna train near Courtland St. in East Stroudsburg in 2017. (Color)

JAN: Central Railroad of New Jersey RS-3 No. 1554 and SD-35 No. 2505 assist steam locomotives Nos. 1286 and 1238 at Penobscot Yard near Mountaintop in 1967. (Color )

JUNE: Erie Lackawanna AS-16's Nos. 1160, 1158, and an unidentified unit assist train SB-3 on the Bloom Division approaching Scranton Street and the Scranton wye in early 1960's. (Color)

JULY: Wilkes-Barre Railway Company No. 018 moving inside the company's storage and maintenance facilities at Woodmeere on Market St. in Kingston in 1947. (Color)

AUG: Lehigh Valley F-3 A & B units No. 516 and 517 near the hump in Coxton Yard near Pittston in 1947. (B & W)

SEPT. Lackawanna Railroad 4-8-4 Pocono and an FT A-B combination assist an eastbound DL&W freight just east of Nay Aug Tunnel in Scranton in the late 1940's. (B & W)

OCT Delaware & Hudson GP-38-2's No's . 7312 and 7304 pull an NRHS 2010 National Convention excursion from Scranton on Canadian Pacific near Catawissa in 2010. (Color)
